Ten years in the making
Sotto is what happens when an idea keeps following you around until you finally build it.
I'm Petteri, and I've lived in Finland, the Netherlands, and Spain. Wherever I was, friends came to visit, and I'd plan us the perfect weekend: the right neighbourhoods, food worth a detour, none of the queues. We always had a great time, and somewhere along the way I realised the plan was a big part of why.
The idea has been following me around for almost ten years: what if everyone could arrive in a city the way my friends arrived in mine? And every year it made more sense. Search results filled up with generated slop, review platforms got gamed, and travel content quietly became advertising. Meanwhile, the only recommendations anyone actually trusted kept coming from where they always had: people who live there.
In 2026, I finally did something about it. Sotto is that friend, for everyone: a personalised city-break itinerary built on genuine local knowledge, delivered within 48 hours.
We're deliberately small: me, plus a circle of locals who know their cities inside out. We'd rather do three cities properly than thirty from a spreadsheet.
Honestly, how it works
Most travel platforms bury how the sausage gets made. We think the process is the product, so here it is.
AI does the boring part
Routes, distances, opening hours, timing: the spreadsheet work nobody dreams about. A machine drafts the skeleton of your trip so no human wastes their talent on it.
Locals do the magic
Someone who actually lives in your city shapes the draft: swaps the tourist traps for the real thing, adds the notes only a local could know, and signs off on every recommendation.
You get the good stuff
A day-by-day plan that reads like a friend wrote it, within 48 hours. No affiliate links, no sponsored detours, no kickbacks from anyone we recommend.
We're out to change how travellers discover Europe
Less time planning, fewer queues, better weekends. If that sounds like your kind of travel, come see what yours could look like.
